Move to Internet Options and click on it. 3. Move to the advanced property sheet and tab once into the list of options. 4. Locate "enable view of ftp folders or sites" and make sure it is on. 5. Go to okay and click on it. 6. Sometimes a few users need to make an additional change. This would involve going back into tools, internet options, advanced and move down to "use passive ftp for firewall and dsl modem compatibility." If this is off and you can't get connected, check it on. If it is on already and you are not able to get on the site, uncheck it. Remember to uncheck or check an item, press the spacebar. Then go to okay and press enter. 7. Each time you make any change to Internet Explorer, you must exit Internet Explorer and restart the program so the changes will hold. the changes will not hold unless you exit inernet explorer and reopen it. Now follow the rest of these directions. 1. Go to Internet Explorer or whatever browser you are using and press ctrl-o. You could also move to your address bar. 2. Type in the ftp site below in lowercase and without the quotes. "ftp://buffy:[EMAIL PROTECTED]" and press enter or click okay. 3. You should be connected. However, sometimes a few users need to type in the site's address without the username and password already in the string. Then once connected, they must enter their username and password. So if this happens just go to the address bar and type in ftp://danthompson.d2g.com and click okay or press enter. Then Press alt plus the letter f to reach the file menu. Next Press the letter a to enter the log-in box. Next enter your username. Next tab to the password box and type in your password. Finally tab to log in and press enter.
