You can record on those disks just like you can on traditional compact disks. The disks most people, like me, have access to hold around five gigs of data. They come in writable and rewritable types. You need a different kind of drive to read and write to them but they're not terribly expensive. I believe the latest disks, blue ray, hold fifty gigs but I'm not sure of this. I have a pack of the disks I first mentioned but I haven't used any of them yet.
