No maybe the mic has a lower signel then the preamp in the olympus. That's my
theory though.

Somehow, I manage to switch music folders but I don't know how I'm doing it.
Guess I need some sighted help.

In the mean time: I've noticed the noise floor when recording with the
internal microphones is quite high. I plugged in a Sony stereo mic and the
noise floor dropped quite a lot. I wonder why. I can tell the Sony is more
sensitive. But, the noise level actually drops when I plug in the Sony. Is
it because the internal mic is noise cancelling?

This thing is sooo plastic. Pressing anywhere on the case while recording
causes a loud click and crunch sound to be picked up by the internal mics.
It isn't nearly as well made as my old VS-90.
