Hello. you might be able to moniter thorugh headphones. as to external mics. try the mics from sound professionals. Hi Everyone: Ok, I have an Edirol R1, but have never been able to TAKE IT THROUGH ITS PACES. I have no way of being able to DECIPHER whether it is recording or not, and I can't how to PLAY IT BACK especially since it does not have a built-in speaker. In any case, what sort of speakers, portable preferred, can I get get for it? How about external microphones? Thanks for all help!!
