Joe, No, I'm only using the 1 GB version. At least here in the UK, the 2 GB version seems to be just about twice the price of the 1 GB version, so there doesn't seem much benefit in buying the 2 GB version. I think two of the 1 GB players might be a better bet, so at least if you lose one of them, you still have the other to listen to.
