Hello Sunshine,
I bought a SHARP portable stereo 19 years ago.
It had a very good sound, it was fun to listen to.
But I learned later on, that it's speakers weren't all that good for the
kind of volume that it put out.
The amplifier fried the voice coils in those speakers after a while.
Later on, I had some problems with it's electronics.
This was all before the 1 year warrantee expired.
If you really like that SHARP sound, allow me to make a few suggestions.
Try Panasonic SONY JVC and MAGNAVOX.
All of these brands will either give you that SHARP sound, or come pretty
close to it.
Good luck!
  John Price.
