Hi,
This might be skating the topic of this list even though my primary
concern is audio so replies privately please.
I've got a *large* .avi file that was a recording a friend gave me he
did via the internet. I have converted this .avi in to ntsc dvd video
format, converting the video to mp2, and multiplexing the audio out from
44000 khz to 48000 khz and multiplexing it from stereo in to 5.1 surround
sound, so basic concept works fine, and according to assistance i got it
does not only play but looks right. That was the easy part, the hard issue
is i don't need about 90 to 95% of the content, i would like to know if it's
possible to use some software package to remove the extraneous audio and
video. I know Goldwave can do audio, but not video. Winamp can play both the
audio and video of the original .avi so i thought that would be my best bet,
but i'm not sure if this is doable.
Thanks.
Dave.
