Hi Brian,

I have not noted this error in particular however,

I have had problems converting DRM files into .wav format.

The process will take the usual several hours or so but in the end the wav
file will not play or allow for conversion into MP3 format. I don't seem to
have this issue if I go straight to MP3.

Have you opened your book in windows Media player prior to conversion?
Sometimes the imbedded marks in audible files can cause havoc with the
conversion process. I like to open them in WMP, start the book, then stop
the book to reset the file.

There are updated versions of sound taxi which claim to batch process more
then two files at once, and claim to convert up to 40x.

I contacted the vender in the Ukraine but was advised that there is no
update policy. In other words, you would need to pay full price for the
latest version.

Good luck and let us know if you actually find a fix.

hth...Keith

Subject: problem with sound taxi

Hi

I have a problem with sound taxi and I wonder if anyone has experienced
this.

When converting an Audible book, the conversion progresses relatively quick
as I would expect. However, when the progress indicator reaches 100 per
cent, it takes at least an hour to show that the file is converted, it could
be much more than that time. Sound taxi leaves at least an hour of blank
space at the end of the converted book as well and I suspect this is what it
is doing when the progress indicator reaches 100 per cent and stays visible.

If anyone has any suggestions I would like to hear about them please. I
wonder how often the software is updated, or how you can tell if you have
the latest release?

Thanks.
