High Jerry,
I have Dishnetwork satellite service here at the house.
I also have the receiver hooked in to my stereo system too.
To me, it sounds better coming thru the stereo then it does coming thru the 
TV set.
But if you just have to have it coming thru your computer, there are 2 ways 
you can do this.
If you have a TV tuner card, you can hook the cable box and or satellite 
receiver directly in to the card.
Put the card on channel 3, and there you are!
If all you want is the audio and not the video, a pare of RCA to 1-8th 
adapter cables will do the trick.
All you have to do is just plug the RCA end of the cables in to your cable 
box and or satellite receiver.
And plug the 1-8th end of the cables in to your computer's sound card.
At this point, the audio will come out of your computer speakers.
