Hi, Are you sure windows didn't sneak in an update to WMP 11?
That's all I can think of for now...KG ----- Original Message ----- From: "Robbie Miller" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC-Audio" <pc-audio@pc-audio.org> Sent: Thursday, July 26, 2007 7:28 AM Subject: Nero format problem Hello Listers, I started burning mp3 files to my hard drive with nero 5.5 and the nero mp3 pro plug in in 2003. I also downloaded and installed the Nero plug_in for Windows Media Player 9x, and installed the Cyberlink mp3 encoder as well. I upgraded to Nero 6, then Nero 6.6 ultra, still no problembs using the Extras/Save Tracks or the Extras/Encode Files menu options in Nero Burning Rom 5.5, 6.0, or 6.6 Ultra to burn music CDS in mp3 format to my hard drive. As a matter of fact, I copied so many music CDs to my 2.2 GHZ, 40 GB, Windows XP pro, SP2 Gateway Laptop, that I ran out of disk space. I replaced the 40 Gb hard drive with a 120 GB harddrive last weekend. I reinstalled Nero Burning Rom 6.6 ultra along with the nero mp3 pro plug in, reinstalled the Nero plug_in for Windows Media Player 9x, and the Cyberlink mp3 encoder. Now when I go to Extras/Save Tracks, the settings button is disabled, and Nero saves all files in .AC3 format, and I can't change the format. I uninstalled Nero 6.6 Ultra and reinstalled it, but it did no good. I even went to the Nero site, bought Nero 7 ultra and installed it, but the settings button in Extras/Save Tracks is still disabled, and its stuck on .AC3 format, and I can't change it. In Nero7 Ultra, I even went to the Options/Audio dialog and tried to change the format, but it won't take there either. If anyone can help me with this problem I would be most grateful. I'm sure it's something I'm doing wrong. Thanks for any help with this problem.
