in this email you mention that you've been reading the victor stream manual. 
May I ask how you got it? Did you download the manual, in which case could 
you give us the URL please. If you have a printed manual, can you possibly 
confirm that the unit can speed up or slow down the  playback of MP3 files 
as well as DAISY?

This manipulation of MP3 files is very important to me as I have access to 
many talking books in MP3 format, but I can't stand listening to them 
without speeding up the speech and the olympus DS50 only gives a 50 percent 
increase.
