You may also want to get a can of spray air to blow the entire machine out
periodically. You can also put the tiny straw on it and blow out the cd/dvd
wells when you dont want to open your box.

Hello, And just want to thank all those who gave me their helpful
input with what turned out to be a rather minor problem. I bought a
Memorex cd cleaner disc, and ran it, and all now seems to be once
again working as it should. It's good to be back in the cd saddle again <g>.
