Hi,
I understand your concerns in regards to the size, but it seems most are
heading in the same direction to keep things as small as possible for easy
storage in a pocket and such
I also think the battery concerns are also for most units, because theyre
making them for recharagability, so its more or less built in in most
units.
Another interesting MP3 player, especially if youre a radio buff, is the
Pogo Radio Your Way LX model. It comes in a 128 mb version or 512 mb
version. Each has a 1 gig expansion slot as well as am/fm digital
programmable radio that you can record directly from either an external
source via built in mic or plug in mic, record from an external source using
a mini plug connector as well as recording from either radio. You can also
set a timer to record from any source similarly to TVo for televisions
Its about the size of a deck of cards or pack of cigarettes, for lack of a
better comparison. You can merely cut and paste music files directly onto
the player once its connected to the computer via the usb cord it comes
with.
You can order separately a docking station, a remote control, 1 gig
expansion flash card, belt clip and etc.
I typically only put a few music files on mine, because I more or less
listen to the radio unless on the bus traveling to work, I then play music
files to block out diesel motor noise
. So, Im now trying to learn how to
put a large number of files on it via the 1 gig expansion card. You can play
MP3, WMA and real audio files
If interested, go to pogoproducts.com and check out a few of their other
gadgets
Just a bit of FYI!
Best Regards,
Cornell

While the Zen Stone sounds initially attractive, I have some real concerns
about it.
For one, the unit is so small that one will sooner or later loose it I am
afraid.
For another, what happens when this battery no longer takes a charge.
To my mind, this sounds like a nice gimmick gift for graduation or
Father's Day.
And it will be nice for long as it works.
But I question the longevity of this unit.
