Hi Again, I am trying to use both JAWS 8.0 and GoldWave. I use an USB device called an m-audio mobile prix. When I'm not in a sound file, JAWS is very sluggish, taking about half a second to respond to each keystroke. When I am in a sound file, it sounds as if it is on double speed, but in other programs, the response of the keys is normal. The person who is helping me with the computer is utterly baffled, and he is quite competent. If any of you might have a clue as to what is going on, we would both appreciate help. Thank you.
