I prefer the DC6 restoration offerings for vinyl, such as pop/click and crackle, as well as some of the noise reduction filters. Also, the program includes some nice filters for 78s and open reels, both of which I restore for CD transfer as part of my business. There are also aspects that I like better about GoldWave, for instance dividing tracks manually. I've never found software that does it well automatically.
If you're considering DC6 try it first. I'm not sure of the address but you can google it. The trial version is fully functional with the exception that work can't be saved. I suggest trying it first because several experienced folks on this list have questioned the program's accessibility. In my view, there is a learning curve, perhaps more than with other audio products. Unlike GoldWave, it's not the most excessible, right out of the box. But with DC6, as with GoldWave, they specialize in what I need. Just my own humble oppinion here and nothing more.
