Yesterday, I asked about why I couldn't get the MP3 stream from Oregon Public Radio to play in winamp, although it does play in WMP, ITunes, and Realplayer. Today, I got a reply from the moderator of the Winamp.com Technical Support forum. Apparently, Oregon Public Radio is using a Quicktime MP3 server, which Winamp does not yet support.
So, apparently, in order to determine which player you need to play a particular stream, you need to know more than just the stream's file type; you need to know the server type, as well. So, how does one go about determining what kind of server a stream is using? Thanks. Blessed Be, Dana D. S. Leslie, née C. R.
