I was having the same problem. Windowsmedia wanted to play mp3 files. So I re-installed Winamp making sure I had all it's file types checked. Now it's okay. Except that I now can't get Windowsmedia to play radio stations that have WMA files. And neither does Winamp play those even though WMA was listed in it's file types. More suggestions? Thank you.
