I heard headphone mixers existed, not sure how expensive though. I heard of 
those on a disability website, where you plug the headphones in and then 2 
other sources and have them one on each side. Some of the info on there is 
outdated, so not sure if they're still manufactured. That would require no 
modifying at all for those that aren't good at that sort of thing.
