I just thought maybe I should change the subject line to better 
reflect the message, as a bunch of help help help help! really 
doesn't tell anyone what's going on.
As for why it won't play in sound forge, have you tried resampling 
the file to see if it'll play after it's been resampled?
That's just an idea off the top of my head really.
