Hi Trace. It would be best for you to rip your CD's to your hard drive and then create your compilation in the same way as you did for those tracks you downloaded. You can use media player, CDEX or a few other rippers to do this and you'll need to choose a format you're happy with. I'd recommend ripping to a lossless format such as WMA lossless. You can use media player to rip your CD's to this format.
