Hello Dana, I know you have a Griffin I-mic USB sound card, so I'd be interested to know how your new Soundblaster compares to the I-mic, and if there are any features on the Soundblaster which the I-mic doesn't have.
Thanks, Caroline. -----Original Message----- From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Behalf Of Dana S. If anyone is considering purchasing it, and has any questions, feel free to write me off-list. Briefly, though, installation was relatively easy. What problems there were had to do with USB issues (conflicts, etc.), and not with access issues. I don't intend to use any of the user interface software bundled with the card, and didn't install any of it, so can't comment on it. But, from what I've read, it's probably as graphical and inaccessible as most of Creative's software. Besides, Goldwave, Sound Forge, easy CD-DA Extractor, etc. do everything the Creative software does, probably better, and certainly more accessibly. But, as a stand-alone sound card, at under $50, I can highly recommend the SoundBlaster Live! 24-bit External USB. Blessed Be, Dana that's Dayna, D A N A, NOT Donna, D O N N A D. S. Leslie, née C. R.
