I'm not saying this is the way to do it, and you all may know about it, but I just found it interesting. Did you know if you have your files in a folder such as my music in my documents, you can edit the information right there? While focused on a track in the listview, press alt enter for the properties. Control tab to the summary page. Now you could add various information there if you wanted to sort them by that column. But if you tab to the advanced button and enter. You can arrow down all the information and press f2 to edit each item such as artist, album title, year, duration, bit rate, so on. To sort the columns, go to view, choose details and you can check or uncheck what columns to show and move them up or down (which will be the first in the row). Then go to arrange icons by on the view menu and sort by that column. The only problem jaws still reads the name column first as you arrow down, so you have to do a say line if you change the order of the columns so that the name Colum isn't the first column in the row. So I'm not sure that's that useful, but being able to edit the tag information might be. Debbie
