I guess I just don't understand what is meant by an MP3/WMA *data* CD, or what the point of such a thing would be. MP3 and WMA are audio formats. If one wants to burn such files to a CD, wouldn't it be for the purpose of playing the audio on some sort of audio device? Or are we talking about burning them to CD, not to play, but just for data backup? That, too, would seem rather pointless, as one can just as easily back up such files by burning them to a playable, *audio* CD, thereby obtaining *both* a backup and a playable CD, all in one.
What am I missing? ----- Original Message ----- From: "Bruce Toews" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list. But, can anyone tell me briefly what it's purpose is; for example, is it meant for creating CDs directly from MP3 or WMA files, rather than WAVs? If so, why would one want such a facility? Thanks.
