what you can do to somewhat randomize files in a folder is to
while in my computer or windows explorer open the view menu
press i to arrange icons
the default is 'by name' choose size or modified. the first will arrange by
the size of the file the latter will arrange by date. the one thing I'm not
sure of is does the bp resort alphabetically. Maybe this is another
feature we might request for the transfer program. the ability to rearrange
files that have been uploaded to the bp.

Subject: Using or making play lists with a Bookport

Hi listers,

I realize there is no play list function per se in a Bookport. But,
I was wondering if anyone has come up with a round about way of
making a play list, or for having the unit play files in shuffle
mode. Right now I'm looking at making folders with a random list of
music files, created by hand, and this task seems rather
daunting. Your comments or hints would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Norma
