Hi folks. A friend of
mine has just bought a new computer and
it has an external USB Sound Blaster Live! Sound card with it and he
wants to use that one, but he's unsure about what to do
first. Should he install the software on the cd that comes with it
and then connect it to the USB port, or should he plug it in and
install the software after that? Also, we're a bit unsure how
things will go with regards to JAWS and software speech. Will the
Sound Blaster card take over as the default card automatically, like
many of the headphone/Microphone headsets seem to like to do, or will
he have to go into Windows and set it as the default? He wants it to
be set so that the software speech will be on the onboard sound and
all other sounds like music and everything else will be routed to the
Soundblaster.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!
