you may be able to do it through volume control but I had to do it through control pannel and select sounds and audio. I set both default input and output to the default soundcard and things worked fine. If you ever get the sound back the way you want it use qmix to save a set of default volume options. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dujari, Prateek" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <pc-audio@pc-audio.org> Sent: Wednesday, June 14, 2006 4:01 PM Subject: How do I reset my laptop sound card default properties?
Hello. While setting up the software called "Tunebite' (legal, so pl let us stay focused on my problem) , to remove DRM content from a book I own on my authorized PC, it messed up some thing in my laptop so that now the sound quality through my laptop or any other speakers is markedly deteriorated. Same experience when I connect my laptop to my stereo through this hardware (purchased from 3rd party) which actually bypasses the sound card to send the digital signals to my stereo amp directly via USB. I mention this for trouble shooting as this should take sound card out of the loop. However, this is my analysis and I just want to set my laptop sound to whatever default quality it came with. This is an IBM Z60T think pad purchased very recently. Thx!! prateek _______________________________________________ PC-Audio List Help, Guidelines, Archives and more... http://www.pc-audio.org To unsubscribe from this list, send a blank email to: [EMAIL PROTECTED] This list is a service of MosenExplosion.com.
