Hi Marsha, do you have the appropriate box checked in the output section of the Winamp preferences? To check if you do, what you'll need to do is open the preferences, control plus p. In the tree view, select output, and in the list of plugins, you'll need to select Nullsoft waveout. Next, tab to the configure button. In that dialogue, there *should* be a checkbox that says, volume control enable. If this box is not checked, you'll need to check it. Next there's a checkbox that says volume control alt. setting method slow. If both these boxes are checked, then you should be able to at least control the volume of Winamp independent of your software speech. I don't know if this extends to the hotkeys for any application in windows, but this is a starting point at least. Hope that gets you somewhere. Not sure if it'll fix the problem with the hotkeys like I said but it's a start.
