hi. Actually this is a very good thing for 2 reasons. Firstly and most importantly, it shows that the program is under very active development. This is good news because if something goes wrong, you can write to the developer and you have a snowball's chance in hell of getting a reply. Secondly, lots of people, including Steve who likes and uses the program, just wants everybody to know that a new version is available. The only down side to all of this is that when a new version comes out, it's a common practice for people to freak out and worry that the program will no longer work with their screenreader. Sometimes that happens, and sometimes the reverse is true and the program works even better. I believe Steve uses Betanews.com, which allows you to have what they call a watch list of your favorite programs. Every time a new version of a particular program comes out, you are sent an e-mail about it. That's what I believe Steve sends to the list. If I'm incorrect in any way I'm sure Steve will pop in and correct me.
