I think that goldwave is excellent value for the money. It works well right out of the box, or should I say virtual box, and it can even be used with ms narrator, if you are already somewhat familiar with the program. I understand that sound forge is much faster, but I thought that the demo of version 7 was hard to use. I did not, however, look at any tutorials, especially after deciding that I would not be able to afford it after all. Good luck and enjoy. Cris Hall
