Larry, Someone brought up a very important point. If you are a Jaws user, and do not have the professional version of JFW, in other words JFW standard version, it will not work with Media Center computers. Media Center is Windows XP Pro with some added features,. If you are a Window Eyes user, you will not have a problem.

Subject: Re: XP Media center with screen readers? Hi Andy. I definitely agree with you when you say that developments like Media Center deserve our attention. As we've found here, some will endorse it and some won't, but I would really hate to turn it aside out of hand because one given screen reader has not advanced to the point where it can handle something that meets both my work needs and my hobby preferences. I appreciate both sides of this discussion, as well I should, since I was the one who started it. And during the course of things, I've received enough positive feedback to go ahead and give Media Center a try. I'll be happy to share my thoughts with the group, and especially with you Andy, since it appears that you are interested in taking a look at this technology..Thanks much to everyone who chipped in with your thoughts. Oppinions on both sides are much appreciated. Larry ----- Original Message ----- From: "Andy" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "PC audio discussion list.
