Hi Ray, When I got my system it also came with the stripped down version of nero; however in my honest opinion stripped down OEM versions of software are only one floor above pieces of crap so I bit the bullet and paid the $79.95 and upgraded it to the motherload and the benefits were well worth the cost. If you choose to upgrade it to a full version, for now grab nero 6.616 it seems to be the most accessible of the versions that are available.
