I also enjoy the Veronica. I bought it from the factory about 4-1/2 years ago directly from the factory in England, but it is now available from hobbytron.com, and it is already mounted in a case. I bought a metal case from Radio Shack and had it mounted. You'll probably want to either buy it mounted or mount it yourself because it is very sensitive to contact such as bumping on a crowded desk.
Mine is the older model with two leads as an antenna. It has quite a range, being heard at the end of our block. Now that it is encased it hasn't drifted once. No one has ever complained in all this time; and just about anyone in the neighborhood would know where to complain if they did. We're the only blind people for at least a mile and are often listening to one of the ACB Radio streams. The word, "blind" comes up often enough it's a dead giveaway. Of course I turn the transmitter off if I am listening to something that might offend.
