It's the best of the two. If the service is good, of course, the system
should be upgraded. Because for me, and I know, better services need more
resources from your system. What do you think? If that's what you mean, the
slowing of your system, a higher memory will do I guess. McAfee is fine for
me huh. I'm talking about the norton. Firewall. I used version 2003 of that
but have no idea about the newest one. If it is the case, so what will be
our solutions in the continuing problem about the smarter and smarter
intruders and all that? Are we going to stuck ourselves in those firewall
companies that are giving their services for free? The thing is, free
programs are maybe harmful for us, do you believe on that? I know the
firewall that you have just said are all free, correct me if I'm wrong
please.

No,

I don't like mcafee and norton because over the years they've grown bloated
as all hell!

I sit here, and I've tested them on my system, and see how they slow down
performance, and take up memory.

I'm keeping an eye open to see what sunbelt will be doing with kerio.

Honestly, the only reason I'd run a firewall is to check outbound trafic
since I'm behind a router. I use sygate, but it's stil not the most ideal.

I used to have a lot of respect for norton, but over the years they've just
become more and more bloated.

Rick
