Betsy,
This is what they call an embedded player. As you've discovered, most of 
them have inaccessible, graphical controls. I'm afraid you're simply out of 
luck, unless you contact the web master/mistress and convince him/her to 
provide you with the URL of their actual media stream, not just the URL of 
their embedded player page. In my experience, many web masters are happy to 
provide one with this info; although many others will not, as they want to 
subject you to the ads and other content delivered through their embedded 
players.
