I have a stand alone dvd recorder player, I record movies and such from a
vcr to my dvd recorder. I don't know how to record from a vcr to a

Is there a way, either through Nero or other software, to create a dvd
similar to a comercial dvd with a .avi movie? Does one need to convert the
.avi file to another format in order for it to be recorded on a dvd which
can be played by a stand alone dvd player?
