I found a couple reasons why for music 2 speakers is the best way to go. I
don't like that so much reverb gets added to radio on many systems, as if
you listen to some talk at times they sound like they're in a public
bathroom. Music sounds better as recorded, with some equalization and
automatic gain control, but I'm not fond of the added echo. A few systems I
heard at stores automatically add enough compression to things that radio at
all sounds bad, probably sounds fine for other sources, didn't have a CD
around when I checked stuff out or the knowledge of what the manufacturers
actually call it to find where the setting is controlled. That said, most
systems you check out are probably not at factory default settings as many
people play around to see what they can do, and there are many features and
options that can be set these days.
