Wow, converting to mp3 is done by so many programs e.g. cdex, nero, accoustica, easy_mp3, among others, even winamp will do it, and I usually burn at about 32X since anything more than than that causes errors on my system. The effective burn speed is about 15X though since mp3s have to be "listened" too before they can be burned, and unlike just straight data, take more time. Using a program like winamp to make *.wav files of midi files is a way to burn them to cd easily, since the midi file is your sound card's instruments, as it were, being controlled by someone else's ideas about how a song should be played, so that's easy enough.
