Brent,

Look in the settings for real player. It will ask you if you want real 
player to play all files; you probably selected that. And I have had real 
player, and it never started up with windows. I like there product.

First of all, JAWS has nothing to do with it. This is not a screen reader
issue. Second, while I'm not saying the person who has been having these
volume issues with Real Player is wrong, I will say that I've never
experienced a problem remotely like that, and I've been using Real Player
for about four years now in Windows. Of all of my players, Real Player has
been the least buggy, has messed up my file associations the least, and
has been the most stable. Close behind, Windows Mediocre Player, and a
distant third, my favorite player, Winamp.
