Hello, I have an old Sony ICD something or other memory stick recorder. I also have a floppy disk adapter which allows a pc to read the memory stick like a disk. When I insert the loaded floppy adapter into my pc, it offers to format the drive. I do not wish to erase the material on the memory stick. But It may well be that allowing this will establish the usability of the adapter with xp. My hunch is that, either Windows xp already has the necessary driver and just wants to format the memory stick, or, I do need to get an xp driver for this floppy adapter, or, this equipment is outmoded altogether and I need new equipment.
I kind've tried using the sony site to find the answer, but it's like looking for a needle in a haystack. If anyone has any ideas, I'd be grateful for a tip.
