Hi, Jim and list: First, thanks for all your ideas, keep Em coming!

Actually, these books will definitely play on portable players, are designed to
do so. You, are right, though, they will, just like in Mission Impossible,
self-destruct in 21 days unless you renew them. Just letting you all know in
case these books might come to a library near you! There are several of these
downloadable book services for libraries, but the one we'll be using does let
you store these books in various MP3 players.

Thanks for the help!

  Hi: Kathy:

Some of these books are locked and must be played by Window's media. As
well, some of them have a 21 day timer; after which, the book doesn't
  function.

I don't think that these books will play on a stand-alone MP3 player.

  Cheers.

Subject: Mp3 Players that play WMA files

Hi, all! I work in our local public library system in Louisville, and
recently the decision was made to put downloadable audible books on our
website. Thing is, the books are in Windows Media format only. Does anyone
know what players are available, that are relativiely inexpensive and
blind-friendly, to play these things? I know that, blind friendly or no, if
you want players that save your place for you in a file, you have to buy
more expensive stuff. But any help to know which ones to recommend for us
blind readers would be greatly appreciated!
