Aad,'

Yes, I follow you now.

I also use Easy CD-DA Extractor; that's how I access Freedb. But I'm less
concerned with creating and maintaining an accurate catalog than with just
getting the right artist, album, and track info associated with the tracks I
rip to my external Maxtor drives. (I prefer to play all my music from my
computer, and to just keep the CDs on the shelf, for display and archival
purposes.)

Good luck.

Blessed Be,

Dana

Subject: Re: a music catalog programm

no, sorry, i typed it wrong, i have 1500 cd's.
so not so much, but enough.
what i have been told is that i first scan a cd, and evry cd has a number.
but it seems that the number of a copied cd is a bit different to the number
of an
orriginal cd.
so if you have a number and go to search for the information on a database
like freedb the database does not recognise the number, or gives the wrong
match for it.
i have the same trouble with easy cd da extractor whitch allso uses freedb.
earlier when i was using cdex, i had more matches than with easy cdda as
well.

hope you understand now
