They say the sound quality is a bit better.
Skype out especially was a bit like talking on a 2-way radio and I believe this 
has improved.
I had purchased Skype out previously but these credits are now used up. 
Personally, I found no real problems using Skype but my wife who makes most of 
the long distance phone calls in this household hated it. Once the new beta 4 
becomes a non-beta I will likely buy more credits and give Skype out another 
try.
Skype out just in case you don't know gives one the ability to initiate a call 
fron ones computer to someone's actual landline. Using Skype you talk using 
your headset and microphone to someone on the other end using a regular 
telephone. The cost is about 2 cents per minute Canadian anywhere in the world 
at any time.
As Skype changes versions, the Jaws scripts are beginning to lose functionality 
but the program is still quite doable.
