I've tried this SEVERAL times, and it DOESN'T work for me. Only the device
selectors on the device tab have any effect. I can't figure out the purpose
of the device selector on the volume tab, at all.

Since I can't seem to figure out how to get Goldwave to record whatever is
coming out my preferred output device, I did find another way to accomplish
what I ultimately wanted to achieve. I set Winamp's disc writer plug-in to
write the m4a file to disk, as a wav file. I, then, edited the wav file in
Goldwave, as I would normally do.

As I said, this worked, and it did accomplish my ultimate goal. But I'd
still like to figure out why I can't seem to use Goldwave to capture to a
file whatever is currently coming through my IMic audio device. Could it be
that the IMic is incapable of both outputting from Winamp to my speakers
*and* inputting the same stream to Goldwave, at the same time?

Dana
