Hi Shane. I have a Creative jukebox 2 and use notmad explorer to load the player. Once I've loaded the player, I generally create a playlistor two of all of the tracks I want the player to play. When I come to use the player there is minimal menu use to start it playing the playlist I've created. Basically, it's one press of the menu button and then push in the jog dial 4 times and the playlist starts.
Now the Zen could be quite different to the juke box but really the point I'm making is that I do all of the loading and creation of playlists through notmad explorer while the player is connected to my computer and I have full accessibility to it and all of it's functions. When I then unhook it and take it away, it's just the case of a few simple keystrokes to start the playlist. I should also say that the playlist is resumed if I turn the player off by simply pressing play the next time I turn it on.
