I know these are novice questions to some extent but I'm thinking about
a birthday gift and a USB sound card is a possibility. I've seen a
couple available through the university I work for. One is a pcmia card
and the other is usb.
If I get either of these sound cards, will it change how the internal
card currently operates? Will I be able to record 2 audio sources at the
same time?
And finally, what makes a sound card single or dual source? My
impression was that if I could use a screen reader and hear something
through real audio or windows media player that made it a dual source
card. I'm beginning to think I'm wrong about this.
The reason this has come up for me is because I'd like to record some of
the ocusource presentations that will only be available for a couple of
weeks. Apparently, the only way to save the information is to record it
as it's coming in, something I haven't yet figured out how to do.
I know there's quite a number of questions here so folks can take their
pick. Thanks in advance for the help.
