Go to Preferences (CTRL/P), Playlists in the tree view, then tab over past the Close button and past a slide bar, the very next question says "When loading multiple files, sort files by name." This is a checkbox control. For the behavior you (and most of us, I reckon) desire, check this box by pressing the space bar, then press ENTER to close the Preferences window.
