Hi Shannon, I can only supply half the information for your Cliff's Notes review. I can tell you one vendor I've learned about that still sells the program, even though it's been supplanted by a new version that Roxio now calls *Media* Creator.
and that's at staples.com, the office supply company. They have a search function on their site, so you just type something like Roxio Easy CD/DVD into the edit box, press the Go or Search Now button, and you'll find it. It's only $29.95, which is a hole lot cheaper than the new version, and you'll find as much familiarity with it and discussion of it online as for any of the similar programs you've seen mentioned. Plenty of people to talk to about how to use it. I don't know how to find out whether your CD-ROM drive is appropriate with Easy CD/DVD Creator. Hopefully someone else here can fill you in. I don't think it's a big, esoteric challenge, but others can help you figure this out.
