Hi Randy the only way to record line in stereo properly I'm afraid is with either a u s b or pcmcia sound card. For some reason laptop manufacturers seem to think we don't want line in any more. S p d i f they'll give us, a mono mic jack they'll give us but line in? You're joking.
anyway, that's the way I went. I bought the Echo Indigo pcmcia card and have been very pleased with it indeed.
