I think you just provided the workaround until the next version comes
out.  I think the driver for Total Recorder is conflicting with the
Audigy.

    i am also using the sb audigy i think it is the sb audigy audio
sound card, 
    the funny thing is if i go back to total recorder 5.1 skype works
the right 
    way.
