As has been said a lot of times on the Winamp list I run, sometimes, it's just better to let the default media player handle it. Yes I know that's not the answer you want to hear, but I've done a whole lot of research on it, and while it's possible to do, you have to do a whole lot of work to get it to work right. When you have a web page for listening to radio stations with Windows Media player, let's think about it. The average joe doesn't want to have to download Winamp, install it, configure it,copy and paste a url into the open location dialogue box, modify said URL so that it'll play right...in short, it really is better to just let Windows Media player handle the stations it'll play and likewise for real player.
It just makes life a hell of a lot easier.

Hi Andy, You should be able to tell WinAmp to play your stations. You should be able to do this from the preferences in WinAmp. Likewise, you should be able to go into the options, or preferences of Windows Media Player, and de-select what you don't want it to play. Hi all.
I've just created a web page with all of my favourite radio stations on it. However, when I click on one of these, I get a welcome page from Windows Media Player. I'd like to play all these stations through Winamp. Can anyone please advise me how to tell internet explorer to choose Winamp as opposed to WMP?
Best wishes. Andy from sunny Kilcreggan.
